DSTL Havana Syndrome / AHI papers

The only UK government HS/AHI documents yet released

In 2024 MOD forwarded Hume's Havana Syndrome request to DSTL, which called it too vague and pointed at a debunking article — even though DSTL had funded a 2021 Cognitive Warfare paper on the topic. In April 2026 Hume obtained that four-page UK Official report (RF/acoustics, DEWs, chemical; FTUD S&T). MSM would not run it.

Findings

Each line is tagged as a FOIA outcome, something someone told Hume, open literature, a leak, or Hume's own reading. Do not treat the last as a document.

    Hume is sure this is not DSTL's entire holding; the 2024 debunking referral looks like a brush-off given the paper already existed.

Four-page 2021 Cognitive Warfare report, MOD-funded, discussing RF/acoustics, directed-energy weapons and chemical explanations, with recommendations for further work. Authored under FTUD S&T (Future Threat Understanding and Disruption). Hume believes this is not DSTL's entire holding.

Met Police FOI — London Havana Syndrome incident, 2019

After an extension, Met Police neither confirmed nor denied under national security. Internal review came back quickly and left the NCND standing. Hume considered ICO but waited on a parallel DSTL request. The i newspaper had reported MI6 and DSTL filling a JASON/MITRE-like function.
