RAF Typhoon DASOR, 2019 — triangular grey object

The yield of asking for UAS/UAV/UAP lists, not 'UFO reports'

UK airspace

Hume's UK method: never ask MOD for UFO reports (boilerplate); ask, in the form of a list by year, for unknown UAS, UAV, UAP. One 2022 yield was a 2019 DASOR — Typhoon vs triangular grey object, 16,000 ft, visual lost in three seconds, filed as possible UAV / Taranis-like. He recirculated it when triangular 'drones' dominated the 2024 flap.

Findings

Each line is tagged as a FOIA outcome, something someone told Hume, open literature, a leak, or Hume's own reading. Do not treat the last as a document.

  1. 01FOIA outcome

DASOR exists and was released via Hume's list-form FOI. Description: triangular grey, canopy-crossing, three-second visual, 16,000 ft.

  2. 02FOIA outcome

Possible-UAV / Taranis is the form's own label, not Hume's conclusion.

  3. 03Hume's reading

Method note: 'form of a list' also worked for RAF DASORs later; airlift-manifest requests failed because those lists are deleted after three years.

RAF Typhoon attempts to follow/chase a triangular grey object … DASOR listed as possible UAV, maybe something like BAEs "Taranis".
