RAF DASOR — Typhoon vs triangular grey object, 2019

Royal Air Force · 2019 / released 2022

DASOR — listed as possible UAV

Request

Hume's 2022 FOI method: ask MOD for lists of unknown UAS/UAV/UAP rather than 'UFO reports' (which trigger boilerplate).

Outcome

DASOR describes an RAF Typhoon attempting to follow a triangular grey object that crossed the canopy; visual lost after ~3 seconds at 16,000 ft. Listed as possible UAV, maybe something like BAE Taranis. Incident year 2019. Hume later recirculated it during the 2024 UK drone flap.

The practical yield of Hume's 'form of a list' DASOR tactic.

Never ask for ufo reports via foia (mod uk) you will get some bollocks boilerplate response instead ask for (in the form of a list by year) unkn uas, uav, uap.
