EPA FOIA — Lockheed California hazardous materials / CAT-3 store
Environmental Protection Agency · 2025
n/a — referred to state water board
Request
Materials storage and cleanup at Lockheed sites in California, specifically a Chatsworth CAT-3 hazardous store Hume thinks held UFO materials shut down when Hineman left in 1989.
Outcome
EPA: no records. Pointed Hume to California GeoTracker (business name LOCKHEED). Hume notes Rye Canyon closed 1995 and a FUDS case for joint Navy & LMSC (later LMSSC). He did not have time to mine the whole dump.
Negative federal FOIA, rich state-level pointer.
Names on this file
RG Hume
Independent FOIA researcher
UK researcher who files FOI/FOIA against MOD, DSTL, AARO, NNSA, DOE, FBI, CIA-adjacent holdings, EPA, CBP and police. Publishes as @rgh_ufos. Has said his name is on requests, has appeared in BBC and Mail Online, and was cited by Jesse Michels for the NNSA Starfish Prime response.
R. Evans Hineman
CIA Deputy Director for Science & Technology, 1982–1989
Hume got Hineman on record acknowledging involvement in UFO programs in the 1980s — after Blue Book. Hume's standing demand: release the CIA DS&T UFO program files from that decade. He has urged AARO and later declassification tranches to interview him.
Jeremy Corbell
Filmmaker
Hume's EPA Lockheed-storage FOIA predates Corbell's documentary involving Derrel Sims / FUDS / EPA. Hume later connected FUDS listings for Rye Canyon and a joint Navy & LMSC site.
