AEC Commissioner, 1962–1973

Hume interviewed the commissioner's grandson. The family account: Ramey sat on a top-secret AEC program investigating landed UFOs so the USSR would not gain a nuclear advantage. The team found nothing credible and, per the grandson, also fanned UFO rumours as cover for prohibited weapons work.

  • FOIA to NRC, DOE and NARA: no responsive records. Only a 1952 press clip on AEC interest in sightings.
  • Hume repeatedly names this program as a disclosure pressure point still missing from PURSUE tranches.

    I was also the person that spoke with JT Ramey's (AEC commisioner 62-73) grandson about a TS AEC ufo program which AFAIK has never been disclosed/acknowledged.
